Simple dress sketch
SketchbookJust a warm up sketch
Eyes
SketchbookPeople tend to say that eyes are pretty expressive when it comes to faces. Sometimes it’s good to just doodle elements like this on their own.

Quatro-color
SketchbookColored pencils are great. Even better when it’s quatro-colored!

munny munny
CraftsI bought these from KidRobot a long while ago. FINALLY I am going to start something with them. So the kitty came with an axe and the original munny style came with a triton. I considered making alternative props but at this point, I’ve come to like the props they came with.
pink hair, purple jacket
SketchbookI just wanted to draw a girl in a cool jacket and funky hair. Sketched her out, inked then penciled some colors in. When it was all done I was content, then it started to remind me of someone. Damnit Lady Gaga. Oh well. I still like how she came out.
hand and cloth
SketchbookThere were three main things I wanted to practice on in this drawing — the hand, cloth and hair. Initially I didn’t know where this was going when I first sketched it. Finished, came back to it and then decided to ink it. When I finally purchased a marker set, I started looking for some sketches to color in and this was it.
The sketchbook is one of my favourites. Gifted to me by my best friend, I was curious to see how it would handle marker. Finch Paper at 100lbs the ink will bleed through to the other side, but not enough to ink onto the next page. The pages are so smooth — I’ll be doing a lot more inking and marker work in this book.
Girl in marker
SketchbookFirst real drawing inked and marker-ed. I got color happy and wanted to try some bold colors. It came out pleasant… I think that’s the word I’ll use. At least, I know what other colors and techniques I’d like to try next.
