Here’s a sketch from sometime last year. I love the hair the best.

Moved hosts finally. There are some transition pains. Other than that some sketch booking.
What is an artist without their utensils? There are some interesting subscriptions out there and I found one that is not only useful but fun. Rad and Hungry is a neat little service that brings stationary around the world to your door every month. How could an artist not see what this is about? So far received are notebook and pen/pencil sets from Turkey and France. Along with some dividers, this will become a great project planning set! 🙂
Just testing a quick mobile post. Here’s a glimpse of my sketchbook.
2012 is now here, which leaves us with a whole year left of time to work with. So what can we do with this new year? The Visual Story Swap has now started. It’s still early enough in the phase that if you want to join in, you can still sign up. That project won’t take up most of the year, so what other goals can I set up for myself this year?
I think those are two pretty good goals to work on this year. Let’s see how it goes.
It’s the start of National Novel Writing Month! It’s the first day and already, I’m behind. Or at least, it feels that way. The goal is to get 50,000 words by the end of November. Which leaves it to about 1,667 words per day that need to get written.
The hardest part is starting the story. This time around, I’m just going to go the nonsense route and see where it takes me. Not to mention that I’ll be writing it by hand as well. Then I’ll type it up so that I can get some easy word counting done as well as some spell checking.
I think I feel a story bubbling… so good luck to everyone that’s participating!
I sketched on the right, walked around the store and found that the boyfriend sketched on the left. Heehee.
After moving and finally taking things out of boxes to just put them in closets, I was left with lots of unused cardboard. So I felt inclined to paint and make something useful.
So many great artists have existed, each creating a style and a look that is memorable. Here’s a few that I love to admire and would like to, perhaps, create something influenced by each one day.
These are just off the top of my head. There’s many many more that I’ll need to write down.
Things I am working on but not sure if I’ll ever finish.
